Womenswear brand Graydn juxtaposes masculine femininity with art deco era sensibilities.
The customized wordmark was inspired by bold geometric shapes and decorative
ornamentation. The hippocampus-seahorse mark was designer Todd Macgill’s personal
interpretation of intelligence, strength, and finesse drawing from the greek ‘hippo’ for horse
and ‘campus’ for brain. The resulting collateral expands on the look-and-feel of Graydn’s
strong, structured, yet feminine personality.
